Currently, we have one Esthetician (Maureen McGuire) who also happens to own the company. Maureen has 10 years experience as a full service esthetician in various spas in New Brunswick and Ontario, and is a member of the New Brunswick Cosmetology association.
It's pretty easy, really. We combine a strategy of using disposables (foot bath liners, buffing pads, etc.) and having several sets of implements that are only used for one client. This is probably the topic we spent the most time figuring out before starting the business. Implements are cleaned using
Accel sterilization products, which is what is used in thousands of health care facilities worldwide. After sterilization is complete, implement sets are wrapped up in cellophane to keep them clean during travel.
Waivers are fairly common, even for large spas. We do it just to be extra careful. We do not offer services that are dangerous to our clients. We ask you about any pertinent health conditions you may have so that we can tailor our services to them.
We're a new, small business and will begin offering these services as soon as we can.
We work with a variety of products including Gehwol (soaks, creams, etc.) and OPI (Polishes, scrubs, etc.). For pedicures we use the
FootsieBath®, which is lauded as the #1 foot spa ever made.
We'll take customers from all over the Ottawa area, but we may have to impose minimum fees or travel surcharges if you are more than a 15 minute drive from Nepean. Ask us for details.
We bring with us a waterproof mat and towels to make sure your home/office is not damaged during the service.
Yes! And its not as expensive as you might expect. Check out our
service list for details. It is however important to note that MobiCure currently has only one (extremely excellent) esthetician, so small parties are likely most practical. Our group service works best in situations where there are lots of things going on at the same time, this way individuals can take turns getting services done. When booking any kind of group event, we work with you to customize our services to your needs so we can often make changes to services to make them more time efficient. For example, in the case of a wedding party, perhaps the bride gets a full manicure/pedicure while the bridesmaids get some nail cleanup and a polish application. Anything is possible.
